IDF: Iran’s Attack Plan “Failed” as Regional Alliance Downs 99% of Missiles

At a press conference on Sunday evening, IDF Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari declared Iran’s recent attack plan against Israel a failure. He praised the swift response from the regional alliance, which successfully intercepted and downed 99% of the missiles fired towards Israeli territories.

Hagari accused Iran and Hamas of attempting to “ignite the Middle East and escalate the region” by deploying a range of weaponry, including suicide drones, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and rockets aimed at Israel. Despite these aggressive actions, Hagari assured the public that the Israeli military remains on high alert.

“Over the last two hours, we approved operational plans for both offensive and defensive actions,” Hagari stated. “We are committed to protecting the State of Israel and working alongside our partners to build a more secure and stable future for the entire Middle East.”

While specific details of the approved plans were not disclosed, they were formulated following a strategic meeting of Israel’s war cabinet.

In response to the escalating tensions, leaders of the G7, including Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, convened for talks on Sunday. They unequivocally condemned Iran’s attack on Israel and emphasized the urgent need to avoid an uncontrollable regional escalation.

The situation remains tense as Israel and its allies brace for potential further aggression from Iran and Hamas, with diplomatic efforts ongoing to de-escalate the conflict.
