Neighbors in Windber, PA, Demand Arrest of Alleged Serial Animal Abuser Anthony Daniel Fields

Residents of Windber, PA, are calling for swift action against Anthony Daniel Fields, whom they allege is responsible for a series of brutal acts of animal cruelty. Fields, who already faces charges of harassment and other criminal offenses, is now at the center of serious accusations from his neighbors. They claim he has killed a dog, buried it in his backyard, and has been involved in the abuse of multiple animals in the area.

In Paint Borough, frustration is boiling over as locals question law enforcement’s response. One resident voiced their anger:
“Why aren’t the police doing anything about the serial dog murders and tortures in Paint Borough? They 100% know who is responsible and they do absolutely nothing about it. They told us all that he was going to jail on 09/07/24… Meanwhile, on 09/12/24, they are citing him for animal cruelty and neglect… He has been found in the neighborhood taking pictures of his next victims—people’s pets. What is the borough or the Windber police going to do? Will they continue to do nothing but leave their residents to live in fear of a serial torturer and murderer?”

The neighbors have taken it upon themselves to investigate Fields after alleging that he has been seen taking photographs of neighborhood pets, possibly marking them as his next victims. Additionally, some claim Fields has been involved in domestic abuse, assaulting his wife, further alarming the community.

Locals are demanding justice, pointing to an unresolved case—the “Mine 30 dog murder”—which remains a grim reminder of the cruelty they believe Fields is capable of. One neighbor warned, “Watch your dogs, cats, and kids for that matter… If he can do it to a defenseless animal, he can do it to your child too!”

Community members are urgently calling for a thorough police investigation into what they are now referring to as the “Windber Serial Animal Killer.” They want answers and action to ensure the safety of their neighborhood and protect the animals and families within it.

The public continues to pressure law enforcement for accountability as tensions rise in the quiet borough.
