The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has arrested Judge Hannah Dugan, a sitting judge in Milwaukee, after she allegedly interfered with federal immigration enforcement efforts and assisted an illegal immigrant in evading arrest inside a courthouse.
According to law enforcement sources, Judge Dugan intentionally misdirected federal agents who were present at the courthouse to detain the individual, providing the illegal alien time and opportunity to flee the scene. The suspect was scheduled to appear for a separate matter and had an active detainer request from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
The incident has sparked national backlash, with critics calling it yet another example of “activist judges placing political agendas over public safety.”
Federal authorities confirmed that Judge Dugan is now facing charges related to obstruction of justice and harboring an illegal alien, among others. She is currently in federal custody pending further legal proceedings.
“This is not about politics — this is about the rule of law,” said one federal official close to the case. “When a judge deliberately interferes with an active law enforcement operation, it undermines the entire justice system.”
The illegal immigrant at the center of the case has not yet been apprehended, and a federal manhunt is underway.
Judge Dugan is the second judge arrested in recent months for similar allegations involving interference with immigration enforcement.
