District Court Judge Gary Chaney handed down the sentence on July 31 to Jared James Dicus, who last year confessed to police that he beheaded his wife of less than four months, Anggy Diaz. As part of Dicus’ plea agreement, he waived all his rights to appeal the verdict or the sentence, meaning he has no choice but to sit in prison until he is paroled or released.
