Dave Hogbin, a 40-year-old doctor from Newcastle, tragically died after falling into crocodile-infested waters during a camping trip in Queensland state. The incident occurred when the riverbank collapsed, plunging Hogbin into the dangerous waters.
Hogbin was on a family camping trip with his wife, Jane, and their three young sons when the accident happened on Saturday. Despite his strength and fitness, the treacherous conditions of the terrain prevented him from escaping the water.
A family statement revealed that Hogbin’s wife attempted to rescue him but was also in peril as she began sinking into the unstable riverbank. Tragically, Dave Hogbin was attacked and killed by a crocodile while trying to protect his family.
